Georgia Tech’s 6-11 paint anchor: Alvin Jones brings size, shot-blocking, and rebounding presence
Alvin Jones is a classic big-man fit for Georgia Tech: at 6-11, he gives the Yellow Jackets length, interior defense, and rebound utility that can change possessions without needing the ball. His profile is built on physicality, rim protection, and doing the dirty work—traits that matter on a team looking for toughness inside. One caveat: his offensive game is more complementary than featured, so he’s best viewed as a role-specific center who can protect the lane and finish simple plays rather than carry a scoring load.
