Reliable Gophers depth piece with special-teams grit
Will Reger is best known as a steady, high-effort Minnesota receiver who has carved out value through versatility and special teams. In the 2017 season, he played in 12 games, started against Wisconsin, and logged one 26-yard catch, while most of his snaps came on special teams[1][2]. That profile suggests a dependable, coach-trusted player rather than a volume target: disciplined, competitive, and willing to do the dirty work. If a team wants toughness, assignment soundness, and locker-room reliability, he fits the mold; if it needs a high-ceiling receiving producer, the stats don’t point that way[1][4].
