Alex Martinez is a disruptive Western Illinois DL with proven backfield production
Martinez’s value is his ability to affect plays behind the line: in his Western Illinois season, he posted 39 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, three quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries and a safety, which points to real pass-rush and play disruption upside. He also brings a stat profile that suggests he can be a factor in both run defense and pressure packages, making him more than just a space-eater. If you want a defensive lineman who can finish plays and flash impact traits, he’s worth a look.
