Iowa State DB Jace Hawley brings upside, not empty-calorie hype
Reliable public data on Jace Hawley’s Iowa State career is limited, so the best read is that he is a developmental defensive back worth tracking for traits rather than box-score volume. For a DB, the key fit questions are whether he can play with discipline in coverage, trigger quickly downhill, and contribute on special teams—areas that usually separate roster depth from game-day value. If Iowa State is betting on a high-upside, coachable defender who can grow into a trusted role, Hawley is the kind of name to keep on the watch list.
