FIU CB Richard Leonard: Playmaking, return-game juice, and a physical edge
Richard Leonard stood out at FIU as a compact, high-motor corner who could swing field position, highlighted by a 74-yard punt return touchdown that earned national special-teams recognition in 2014. FIU’s 2015 roster notes he started all 12 games, was named game captain nine times, and played with clear leadership value—traits that matter for teams wanting more than just coverage snaps. He is best viewed as a competitive, versatile defensive back with proven playmaking instincts and toughness.
