SMU DE Johnson Patman: Depth-Chart Presence, Limited Stat Footprint
Johnson Patman is a defensive end for SMU whose current profile looks more like developmental depth than proven production: StatMuse says he played one season for the Mustangs and did not record a tackle, while SMU’s 2025 team stats do not show him as a featured impact defender. That means his value is likely in traits coaches like on the edge—size, effort, and system fit—rather than box-score numbers, so he’s worth tracking as a role player or upside addition, not a finished product.
