Blocking-First Tight End with NFL Opportunity
Iowa State's Dylan Soehner signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in May 2021 after a productive college career. The 2020 season saw him part of Iowa State's nationally-ranked tight end trio (82 receptions, 1,057 yards combined). Soehner is a willing, physical blocker who excels in run-game schemes and can find soft spots in zone coverage. His 4.78-second 40-yard dash at the Combine reflects limited athleticism, making him a one-speed route runner best suited for teams valuing blocking prowess and scheme fit over explosive upside. Early injury in Saints camp limited his initial NFL exposure.
