Jamaal Zanders brings a legacy-defining defensive spark to Savannah State
Jamaal Zanders is a physical, playmaking defensive back whose name already sits in Savannah State’s record books, with the school noting he set a program sack record in 2000 before it was broken in 2025. He projects as a disruptive, high-motor defender who can impact the game in multiple ways, not just coverage, which makes him especially valuable if you want a DB with edge and versatility. The biggest appeal is his proven knack for making splash plays in big moments—a strong fit for a defense that wants toughness, urgency, and a little bad-news energy for quarterbacks.
