a smart, steady Iowa linebacker with old-school Hawkeye DNA
Jacob Gancarczyk is best known as a former Iowa linebacker and academic standout, which points to the kind of player Iowa always loves: disciplined, tough, and dependable rather than flashy. His differentiators are work ethic, football IQ, and consistency in a program that values assignment-sound defense; he also earned recognition for academic achievement during his Iowa career. If you’re looking for a high-floor, culture-fit defender with strong character and no obvious ego, he checks the right boxes.
