Veteran SJSU linebacker with proven production and steady instincts
Pompey Festejo is a seasoned San Jose State linebacker whose value shows up in reliability, versatility, and football IQ rather than flash; in the 2011 season he played all 12 games, started 10, and finished with 72 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles. He has also been used at multiple spots on defense across his SJSU career, which points to a smart, adaptable fit for coaches who want a dependable communicator and a physical presence in space.
