Jackrabbits wingspan, shooter’s touch, and pro-ready size
A.J. Hess is a 6-7 guard/forward whose calling card at South Dakota State was efficient perimeter scoring and position flexibility: in the 2016-17 season, he averaged 9.5 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 37.1% from three and 85.4% from the line. He also had a real knack for big shooting nights, including a 31-point game against Idaho, and his game translated well enough to carry him into a long pro career. If your team wants size, shot-making, and a mature, low-drama connector rather than a pure volume star, Hess fits the bill.
