Samford safety Michael Prendergast brings compact, physical reliability in the secondary
Michael Prendergast projects as a dependable, old-school **safety** with a compact frame and a tackling profile that suggests he is more enforcer than highlight reel; Samford listed him at **5-9, 210** as a senior, and in the referenced season he appeared in **all 11 games** with **16 tackles, 12 solo**. His value is in trust and sturdiness: coaches can plug him into the defense expecting active run support, sound positioning, and a player who will keep showing up snap after snap rather than chasing splashy stats.[5]
