veteran Eastern Michigan guard with a scoring punch and disruptive hands
Canea Williams is a 5-foot-6 guard whose best season came in 2005-06, when she averaged 9.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game before a right knee injury interrupted her year; she also posted a career-best seven steals in a game and has shown she can heat up quickly, including a 26-point, 4-assist outing in 2007. She looks like the kind of guard who brings toughness, pressure defense and instant offense off the bounce—more spark plug than stat-sheet filler.
