Alex Bray’s Football Story: From Drake QB Backup to a Bigger Opportunity
Alex Bray’s reliable public college-football trail shows him as a versatile, team-first player rather than a stats-padding headline machine: at Drake, he appeared in six games in 2019 as a backup quarterback and completed 9 of 21 passes for 131 yards with one touchdown, then later moved through Illinois and Kansas as a defensive lineman. That kind of position-switching suggests athleticism, adaptability, and coachability—useful traits for a roster that values depth and flexibility. If you’re evaluating fit, Bray looks like a developmental, high-character piece who can embrace role changes and bring toughness, even if his current production profile isn’t flashy.
