Anthony Sherrill brings ball production and reliability to NCCU’s secondary
In his NCCU career, Anthony Sherrill stood out as a playmaking defensive back who combined **tackling consistency** with **coverage production**, leading the Eagles with 7 passes defended in 2018 while adding 47 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. He looks like a fit for teams that value disciplined, physical DBs who can support the run and still challenge throws underneath. The available record doesn’t show recent season stats, so the key takeaway is his proven knack for being around the ball rather than gaudy interception numbers.
