Tate Nagy brings Kansas value as a twitchy return ace with upside at receiver
In the 2025 season, Tate Nagy played all 12 games as a true freshman for Kansas, led the Jayhawks with 17 punt returns for 116 yards, and added 2 catches for 20 yards. He stands out for quick change of direction, competitiveness, and immediate trust from the staff on special teams, which is why he was viewed as a ready-made punt returner from the jump. At 5-foot-10 and about 170 pounds, he looks more like a spark plug than a volume target right now, but the blend of local pedigree, toughness, and versatility makes him a useful fit if you want effort, field position, and developmental receiver upside.
