veteran BYU lineman with proven run-game impact and a tough, physical profile
Walter Kahaiali’i is a former BYU offensive lineman whose best-known college stretch came in the 2010 season, when he helped BYU average 168.1 rushing yards per game and finish with multiple strong red-zone and pass-protection marks. He was a big-bodied, interior-line presence at 6-foot-3/6-4 and roughly 325-334 pounds, praised as an offensive-line projection out of Hawaii. The catch: his career was slowed by chronic knee issues, and by 2012 he was out for the season after knee surgery, so durability is the main red flag. If you want a road-grader with some history of real production, he’s interesting; if you need a clean bill of health, that’s the question mark.
