developmental QB with a winning HS pedigree
Banks entered Eastern Illinois with a strong prep résumé, helping Oswego East to a 9-2 senior season and a second-round IHSA Class 8A playoff run, which suggests he understands competitive pressure and team success. Publicly available college stat tracking shows only limited action so far, so his current value is more about upside than production; at this stage, he looks like a quarterback to monitor for growth, poise, and system fit rather than a proven high-volume starter.[3][4]
