Damien Gatson Jr. brings South Alabama a young, local outfield bat with upside
Damien Gatson Jr., a South Alabama outfielder from Mobile, is a young in-state prospect whose appeal is more about upside and fit than a pile of public college stats. The Jaguars list him on their 2026 baseball roster, and his profile suggests a developing player with local ties, business major discipline, and enough athletic background to be a multi-sport competitor. For a team, that usually means energy, familiarity with the area, and a player who could grow into a useful piece if the bat and defense keep trending up.
