Albany Veteran Forward with 2003-06 Legacy, Now a Coaching Presence
Jerrad Knotts is not a current player but a former Albany Great Danes forward (6'6") who competed from 2003–2006, earning four varsity letters and appearing in 73 career games before transitioning into a coaching role at UAlbany [6][7]. His differentiator lies in his deep institutional knowledge and veteran leadership rather than active on-court performance, as he has no 2025–26 stats (RealGM lists him with 0.3 PPG based on last 5 games, likely a data artifact or coaching assistant notation) [3]. For a team seeking a coach with proven Albany program experience, Knotts offers intensity, basketball IQ, and a 20-year connection to the Great Danes; however, he is not a fit for a roster needing an active scoring forward.
