A Physical, Watch-List Linebacker Who Played His Way Into the Spotlight
D.D. Lee developed into a three-year starter at inside linebacker for SMU and earned a spot on the Lombardi Award watch list, a strong sign of national respect for his work in the middle of the defense. Reliable outside sources show he was viewed as an impact defender with the kind of toughness, leverage, and instinct teams want in a linebacker. His profile suggests a hard-nosed, assignment-sound player who fits programs looking for physicality, leadership, and consistency rather than just splash plays.
