Elle Glass brings high-upside two-way flexibility to NIU’s staff
Glass is a sophomore pitcher at Northern Illinois who already logged 5 appearances in the 2026 season and 4.2 innings, with a 12.00 ERA and 1 strikeout, while also showing enough versatility to appear in the field and at third base on the roster listing[1][2]. Her value is less about gaudy current numbers and more about pedigree: at Francis Howell, she threw 242 innings with 289 strikeouts, a 2.66 ERA, and a 33-16 record, plus First Team All-District and All-Conference honors[3][4]. In short, she looks like a competitive, arm-first development piece with real bat-to-ball/utility upside if NIU keeps expanding her role[1][3].
