Danshawn Jenkins brings playmaking flair and veteran linebacker savvy to Southern
In the 2026 season, Danshawn Jenkins stands out as a seasoned Southern University linebacker with real splash-play upside — he’s the kind of defender who can flip momentum with a takeaway, not just rack up routine tackles. Public stat tracking shows him credited with an interception return touchdown in his Southern career and at least one fumble recovery, which points to strong field awareness and ball skills for the position. He looks like a fit for a defense that values instinct, urgency, and a linebacker who can make something happen when the play breaks open.
