Appalachian State’s dual-threat record-setter and big-game stabilizer
In the 2017 season, Taylor Lamb was the definition of a dual-threat centerpiece: he finished with 2,737 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns, only 6 interceptions, plus 584 rushing yards and 5 rushing scores, giving App State a quarterback who could win from the pocket or on the move. He finished his college career as App State’s all-time leader in touchdown passes and a true program tone-setter, starting 49 straight games and helping deliver a 36-13 record as a starter. Why care? He’s efficient, durable, and clutch — the kind of QB who raises a team’s floor and keeps defenses guessing.
