6-foot-7 freshman Harrison Engle is emerging as Fairfield’s breakout arm
In the 2026 season, Fairfield right-hander Harrison Engle became the MAAC Rookie of the Year and a Freshman All-American after going 6-2 with a 4.11 ERA, 58 strikeouts, and a .202 opponent average across 57 innings. He especially impressed late, posting a 0.93 ERA over his final five starts and holding hitters to .179 in conference play. At 6-foot-7, he brings obvious downhill leverage, strike-throwing poise, and the kind of rapid in-season growth coaches love. If your team wants a young, high-upside starter who’s already winning in big moments, Engle is absolutely worth the attention.
