98 mph Fireballer & MVC Newcomer of the Week
Luke Teschke is a high-intensity right-handed pitcher for Illinois State who differentiates with a 98 mph fastball (fall 2025 exhibition) and a 4-strikeout, 3-shutout-inning debut performance. Awarded MVC Newcomer of the Week in March 2026 after his second-career win, he combines elite velocity with a 'set the table' mentality that signals immediate impact. While official 2026 stats are pending, his 2024 Monticello grad pedigree and 2025 DMACC foundation confirm he's a top-tier fit for teams needing a power arm. Note: Teschke recently entered the transfer portal with 2 years remaining, making him an available, high-upside prospect for immediate roster integration.
