Contact-First CMU Infielder with Real Lineup Bite
In the 2026 season, Drew Loikits has been a steady middle-infield contributor for Central Michigan, hitting .305 with 57 hits, 13 doubles, 21 RBI and 8 steals in 53 games, while showing he can chip in beyond just contact. He first broke through in 2024 with a .347 average over 31 games and then kept producing in 2026 with clutch multi-hit and extra-base efforts, including a two-run homer at UMass. He looks like the kind of grinder-coach’s favorite who brings bat-to-ball skills, positional flexibility and reliable energy to a lineup.
