Former Alabama DB whose NFL path was built on depth and versatility
DeQuan Menzie, an Alabama cornerback drafted in 2012, is best known as a physical, versatile defensive back who earned NFL attention rather than elite recruiting hype. His value came from toughness, adaptability, and the ability to compete in multiple coverage looks, but his pro career was brief, so he fits best as a historical evaluation rather than a current impact player. If you care about him, it’s because he represents a dependable, NFL-caliber Alabama DB archetype—not a flashy stat-sheet star.
