Cornell safety Jake Watkins brings proven tackling production and veteran reliability
Jake Watkins’ best calling card is simple: he has already shown he can handle starting safety duties, including a 45-tackle season with tackles for loss, a sack, and pass breakups for Cornell in 2019-20, which points to a disciplined, physical defender who can play around the ball. He profiles as a fit for teams that value dependable, assignment-sound secondary play over flash, with enough range and run support to matter on early downs.
