RJ Johnson Jr. gives Richmond a veteran left-handed bat with pop and production
In the 2026 season, RJ Johnson Jr. has been a steady middle-of-the-order spark for Richmond, hitting .323 with 52 hits, 13 doubles, 8 home runs and 42 RBI while making 43 starts in 53 appearances in the outfield.[2] The profile says “impact bat” without needing much translation: he gets on base, drives the ball, and brings a mature, ready-made presence after transferring from Rutgers, which makes him the kind of experienced, no-drama fit a lineup can lean on.[1][2]
