Cornelius McGee brings Southern Miss value as a versatile, all-around defensive playmaker
Cornelius McGee is the kind of **versatile** defensive piece teams like to have: Southern Miss lists him as a cornerback who also contributed on special teams, with prior production showing he can affect the game beyond coverage, including receptions, a kickoff return touchdown, and punting duties.[5] That multi-role profile suggests competitiveness, trust from coaches, and the kind of high-effort, do-everything mentality that can fit a program looking for toughness and flexibility more than a pure stat-sheet specialist.[5] One wrinkle: a search result also lists a Cornelius McGee at Southeastern Louisiana, so the identity should be double-checked before any roster decision.[1][5]
