physical, multi-role linebacker with old-school toughness
Trent Story is a freshman linebacker for Austin Peay who arrives with a sturdy prep resume: 142 career tackles, six sacks, and three state championship rings, plus experience at linebacker, fullback, and long snapper at Maine-Endwell High School.[2] He missed the final nine games of his senior year because of injury, so the key question is how quickly that toughness translates to the college level, but his versatility, defensive instincts, and blue-collar edge make him the kind of roster fit coaches love when they want a worker who can carve out value in multiple phases.[2][1]
