Hampton’s Intense Forward with Elite Defensive Instincts
Joy Roberson, a forward for the Hampton Pirates, stands out not just for her 2025-26 season stats but for her relentless intensity and defensive IQ that elevates the team’s home opener dominance (105-21 win). While official stats show modest points, her differentiator is her ability to read plays, shut down opponents, and maintain high energy even after minor knee soreness in late 2025. Teammates describe her as the ‘quiet leader’ who never backs down, making her a perfect fit for teams needing grit, defensive stability, and a forward who thrives in high-pressure moments. If you value intensity over flash, Roberson is your player.
