Drafted bat with contact skills and on-base upside
Howard is a right-handed hitter who was drafted by the Guardians in the 11th round in 2025 after putting up a solid pro debut line of .313/.421/.765 in 32 at-bats for Portland, suggesting he brings bat-to-ball ability, strike-zone feel, and enough offensive upside to merit attention.[1][2] His main appeal is as an energetic, compact outfielder-type profile who can get on base and move quickly through a system, though available public stats are still limited, so the bigger evaluation point is whether his contact approach translates against better pitching.[2][4]
