Wofford K Darren Brown brings proven special-teams value with injury-tested resilience
Darren Brown’s value is in reliability, experience, and toughness: he played eight games in 2023 and earned Phil Steele Southland All-Conference Fourth Team recognition after posting 19 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 pass breakup, though he also missed some time with injury. Earlier in his career at SMU, he saw action across multiple seasons, which suggests a player coaches can trust in a role that demands consistency and mental sharpness. If you need a disciplined, battle-tested contributor rather than a flashy stat-stuffer, Brown fits.
