Tech’s big-bodied interior anchor with sneaky production
In the 2025 season, Jayden Cofield gave Texas Tech a sturdy interior presence, finishing with 25 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack, while his 6-foot-2, 330-pound frame made him a load to move in the middle. Texas Tech lists him as a senior in 2026, and reports in spring 2026 noted he was recovering from Achilles surgery, with his return timeline improving from October to potentially late September. If you want a physical, experienced DL who can clog gaps and rotate inside, Cofield fits; if you need a twitchy pass-rush specialist, he’s more blue-collar than fireworks.
