Lefty mover who flashed starter upside for Boston College in 2026
Burnham’s 2026 profile is built on real arm-side value: Boston College’s left-hander posted a 5.02 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 37.2 innings, and he also turned in a strong stretch in the Beanpot, throwing four scoreless innings with three Ks against UMass. He’s the kind of arm you like if you want a live lefty who can work in multiple roles and has room to grow, especially after a freshman year that included 16 Ks in 23.1 innings. Add in the academic/competitive polish, and he looks like a useful fit for teams wanting upside with some present-day competitiveness.
