Manny Bates gives Butler a rim-protecting, efficient interior presence
Bates is a high-impact center whose value goes beyond points: in his Butler season he averaged 11.6 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting efficiently, and he has a reputation for anchoring the paint with blocks and physical defense. He fits best with teams that want a true interior enforcer—one who finishes at a high clip, alters shots, and brings toughness—but durability matters, because his career has included injury-related interruptions that make health an important part of his evaluation.
