the Hawks’ proven bucket-getter with a history of big scoring nights
Octavia Thompson is listed as a guard for Maryland-Eastern Shore and was a featured scorer in her college career, with multiple game logs showing 20-plus point outings and efficiency stretches like 9-of-12 shooting and a perfect 6-for-6 game in 2003-04. The big differentiator is straightforward: she could take over a game offensively and was often the Hawks’ go-to option when the team needed a spark. That kind of shot-making and late-clock confidence is exactly why a team would care.
