Dayton’s steady floor general with elite passing instincts
David Morris has been one of Dayton’s most reliable creators, with ESPN listing him at 6.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game in the 2024-25 season, a strong sign of a guard who makes teammates better and keeps the offense organized. He also brings program-level pedigree: Dayton career notes credit him with 562 assists, second in school history, which underlines his high-IQ, unselfish style. The catch is shot efficiency has been the swing skill, so he fits best with a team that values tempo control, playmaking, and defensive toughness over pure scoring flash.
