Raul Cruz-Palma brings freshman-sized upside to VMI’s offensive line
Raul Cruz-Palma enters the 2026 season as a true freshman offensive lineman at VMI, listed at 6-foot-2, 319 pounds, which gives the Keydets a dense, physical interior body with room to develop into a road-grading presence. VMI’s own signing notes say he played both sides in high school but projects on the offensive line, and he earned first-team all-district honors, a nice hint that he already knows how to impose himself at the point of attack. The big appeal: size, versatility, and developmental upside for a program that can use every nasty block it can get.
