A seasoned Sun Devil corner with veteran polish
O.J. Hackett is listed by Arizona State as a former junior-college cornerback who joined the program after earning all-conference honors at Chaffey College, and ASU’s own preview noted he could “figure heavily into the mix” because of that experience. Arizona State’s 2002 spring prospectus also said he would benefit from a year in the program, which hints at a player whose value came from maturity, practice growth, and dependable cornerback depth rather than splashy hype. If you need a poised, battle-tested defensive back who brings competitiveness and know-how, Hackett looks like the kind of fit coaches trust.
