Holden Rook brings contact skills and lineup versatility to UT Arlington
Rook is a right-handed outfielder for UT Arlington who arrived with proven college production at Abilene Christian, including a .291 average in 2023 and a .214 bounce-back in 2024 across heavy playing time, showing he can handle regular reps and still contribute on offense.[1] He looks like a fit for a team that values competitiveness, experience, and bat-to-ball ability more than raw power, and his earlier high-school track record suggests he has long carried a table-setter profile with speed and steady offensive instincts.[2][3] His main differentiator is reliability in the lineup rather than loud tools, so he makes more sense as a glue player than a pure impact bat.[1]
