Will Gulley brings veteran size, ball-hawking range, and old-school safety toughness to Houston
Will Gulley is listed by Houston as a 6-3, 215-pound senior safety from Newton, Texas, and the Cougars’ roster bio describes him as one of the team’s top defenders with a nose for big plays, turnover creation, and the ability to run with receivers while still mixing it up with linemen.[1] That blend of size, range, and physicality is the real selling point: he looks like a downhill-playmaking free safety who can erase mistakes, not just collect tackles. If Houston wants a reliable veteran tone-setter on the back end, Gulley fits the bill—he sounds like the kind of player offenses remember after the whistle.[1]
