veteran SMU interior defender with steady production
Patrick Handy’s SMU profile points to a dependable interior defensive lineman who brought size, experience, and disruption to the Mustangs’ front. In his SMU career, he totaled 46 tackles and 3 sacks, with his best production coming in the 2008 season, when he recorded 21 tackles and 2 sacks. At 6'2" and about 250 pounds in listed SMU rosters, he fit the classic gap-stuffing role: sturdy against the run, active enough to flash in the backfield, and valuable for line depth if you want a physical, no-drama trench worker.
