veteran slot-style target with SEC-tested grit
Scoobie Ford is a redshirt senior WR at Mississippi State who brings veteran experience, toughness, and reliable hands from a long college journey that included a walk-on start and multiple stops before becoming a steady Bulldog contributor. In the 2022 season, he appeared in 12 games and produced 14 receptions for 304 yards and two touchdowns, showing big-play ability with a 71-yard score on his résumé. His appeal is less about flash and more about trust, maturity, and competitive edge—useful traits for a staff needing a savvy, lower-drama receiver who knows how to earn snaps.
