Bobby Moyer brings compact, downhill safety play to JMU’s defense
In the 2026 season, Bobby Moyer is listed by James Madison as a 5-11, 205-pound redshirt sophomore strong safety, a build that usually signals physicality, run support, and quick trigger downhill play. JMU’s roster entry does not include stats, so the clearest takeaway is role and profile: he looks like a tone-setter type who can fit the box, tackle cleanly, and add depth to a secondary that’s still being shaped. If your team wants a sturdy, versatile safety with a blue-collar edge, Moyer is the kind of piece that can quietly make a defense better.
