Caleb Berg brings veteran DB grit and academic-leader reliability to Iowa State
In the 2006 season, Caleb Berg started all 12 games at strong safety for Iowa State and finished fourth on the team with 76 tackles, with a career-high nine stops in three separate games and three pass breakups[1]. He’s the kind of defensive back coaches love: physical, consistent, and assignment-sound, plus the added bonus of being a repeat academic standout who handled the classroom and the secondary with equal discipline[1][5].
