Big-bodied Braves righty with swing-and-miss upside, but still sharpening command
In the 2026 season, Hunter Bell is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound redshirt junior right-hander for Alcorn State who profiles as a power arm with intriguing frame and bullpen value, but the stat line shows he’s still searching for consistency: he posted a 12.46 ERA with 7 strikeouts in 8.2 innings, and opponents hit .242 against him. He’s the kind of arm a staff likes to develop because the body, velocity ceiling, and physical presence are all there — now it’s about command, repeatability, and turning raw tools into reliable outs.
