Efficient, high-rated SMU QB with early-career upside
Conner Preston has shown efficient early production for SMU, posting 127 passing yards, 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions, and a 189.7 passer rating in the available stats snapshot, which suggests clean decision-making and ball security. His recruiting profile lists him as a 6-1.5, 220-pound pro-style quarterback and a 3-star prospect, which points to a sturdy build and a traditional pocket-first skill set. If you want a quarterback who can manage the offense without forcing mistakes, Preston is worth attention; the key question is whether his current sample can grow into consistent high-level starting play.
